Numerous cruising possibilities...Enjoy the aroma of freshly brewed coffee as you take a one and a half hour cruise around Bancroft Bay at Metung. Watch the pelicans feed at the Metung Hotel, visit the picturesque Chinaman's and Boxes Creeks and then on to the Nungerner Jetty with views to Lakes Entrance. Perhaps even see the dolphins gliding along with the bow of the Gypsy...Longer cruises can take you to Paynesville, where you can take the opportunity to visit the koalas at Raymond Island or one of Paynesville's waterfront restaurants (approx. 4 hours). Or visit the national park at Sperm Whale Head and have a picnic or BBQ lunch (BYO) in the company of kangaroos and other wildlife. The Bird Observatory at Rotamah Island offers splendid views of the magnificent array of birdlife that visit the Lakes every year (approx. 4 hours). A day trip or even an overnight stay at the magnificent Ocean Grange and Steamer Landing. Walk across the dunes to the famous 90 Mile Beach and its golden sands. Watch the sun setting over the Lakes, while you throw another freshly caught bream on the BBQ. The Gypsy provides all linen and crockery for overnight and weekend cruises.
